Birthday Angel

It’s been a really long time since I sketched and colored a piece of artwork all the way through.  Part of that was that my scanner broke several years ago and I still haven’t replaced it, and part of that was I was running Photoshop 7 and after all these years it finally got so glitchy that it was difficult to use.  It took me a long time to learn to use it in the first place, so I’d always been somewhat uninterested in switching to Paintool Sai [although that watercolor brush is hella tempting], and I didn’t have the cash to shell out for a full version of CS5.  After running a trial of PS CC, I decided to bite the bullet and subscribe and so far I’m very happy that I did.  There are a lot more bells and whistles than with PS7 [which there should be after 15 or so years] and I have to relearn some of the things I’ve forgotten,  but so far, yes, I like it quite a bit.  I’m not sure if it will speed up the frequency of my artwork completions, but it does make it a much more seamless and less frustrating experience.
